George Leamey is a business professional and financial expert based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Mr. Leamey has had several roles over the years, and like many, he had to work his way up the corporate ladder to get to where he is today. In December 2019, George Leamey signed on as the Managing Director of JAC Limited. He stayed with the Singapore company for nearly three years. During this time, George Leamey began another initiative; he became a Senior Managing Director for Freelancer Advisory. Freelancer Advisory offered guidance to businesses and individuals on various business segments, especially as it pertained to freelance work. This work included reputation management and building a secure advisory team.
In June 2000, George Leamey launched his first business venture – Kobo International. Kobo International is a consultancy business in the manufacturing industry. As the owner and operator of Kobo International, it is George Leamey’s job to handle all aspects of the business, especially critical business functions. The company is based in Australia and has been running for over twenty years. This brings us to one of the other projects George Leamey is busy with, Emerge Global Services. George Leamey acts as a National Business Consultant for Emerge Global Services. This role requires him to handle international business investor relations, report to the Board on matters, and agriculture investments & property investments. George Leamey is the company’s South East Asia Investment Specialist, showing how important his work is for Emerge Global Services.
Over the years, George Leamey has learned about success and work/life balance. For example, he realized that one could juggle multiple ventures and careers at once, but only if they are passionate about it. As such, George Leamey wanted to found a business based on one of his hobbies, adventure bike riding. This spark was all it took for George Leamey to launch Octane Expeditions (formally ORAT). George is the Marketing Manager for Octane Expeditions, which has been operating for over five years now. Octane Expeditions offers off-road adventure tours and operates globally, focusing primarily on adventure bike riding in remote locations. For example, George recently ran a tour called Hattah: Into the Sunset Ralley, which took clients through the Murray Sunset Desert region.
